As an intern, you’ll be involved with company projects to gain experience navigating the digital seas and insight from the professionals that sail them. Our next batch of interns should be innovators, decision-makers, communicators, and collaborators ready to set sail with a startup. We’re looking for self-starting students eager to learn new technologies and apply best practices. Our interns will often work under pressure with minimal supervision; nonetheless, we expect that they hold themselves to the highest standard of quality. To start, we’ll need you to be knowledgeable in traditional SDLC methodologies such as Waterfall and in agile methodologies such as Scrum. Internship topics will depend on upcoming project requirements.

As a software engineering intern, you’ll receive refreshers in Java, SQL Databases, and Git as well as introductions to Grails and Scala to ultimately development of application(s) in line with the company’s software products.

You:

  • Are a Computer Science BS candidate. Your BS course in Computer Science gave you a solid foundation in computer science concepts such as data structures, algorithms and concurrency; object oriented programming; software engineering concepts; SQL and databases; web development concepts; and systems analysis and design.
  • Talk the talk. You’ve worked with Java / PHP / C#, Ubuntu Linux 10.04 and above, MySQL, and Git for at least a year in academic or professional settings.
  • Walk the walk. Kindly bring your school projects with source code. Applicants may be requested to demo their projects.

As a software testing intern, you’ll receive an introduction to Git and Automated Testing using Selenium. Then, you’ll be involved in the automated and manual testing of company developed application(s).

You:  

  • Are a Computer Science (or any IT-related course) BS candidate. Your BS course gave you a solid foundation in systems analysis and design.
  • Have a foothold on testing. You can formulate test cases, follow concepts like functional testing and user acceptance testing, and execute test cycles.
  • Have done your groundwork. You’re comfortable with basic HTML and JavaScript.

As a data analysis intern, you’ll sample data, prepare collection, and implement your findings.

You are:  

  • A Computer Science, IT, Math, or Physics BS candidate. Your BS course gave you a solid foundation in statistics and mathematical devices.
  • Sharp. You have an eye for the right data sets, the important patterns in them, and the processes underlying them.
  • Methodical. You can organize, perform, and write-up data analyses using quantitative and qualitative approaches.

As a system administration intern, you’ll  be involved in shell scripting using Bash and Python. With the support of company staff, you’ll become comfortable with system administration on company production environment.

You are:  

  • A Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Networking, IT, or any IT-related course BS candidate. Your BS course prepared you to receive introductions to Ubuntu Server, cloud computing, systems monitoring via Nagios, and Ansible.
  • Multilingual. You can use Python, Ruby, or Bash.
  • Comfortable with Linux. You’re knowledgeable in Ubuntu Linux starting from 10.04 or any other Linux distribution. You can work in a headless Linux environment, too.

As a project management / systems analysis and design intern, you will use Scrum to manage your projects as well as create stories and UI wireframes. You’ll examine user requirements and gathering, as well as flex your high-level system design muscles.

You are:  

  • A Computer Science (or any IT-related) course BS candidate. Your BS course gave you a solid foundation in systems analysis and design.
  • Collected. You have it together and can bring people together, too.
  • A connector. You can communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical folks.
